don't give the devil an opportunity

I think that unforgiveness is one of the devil's most powerful weapon that he uses against believes today. Paul tells us in Eph. 4 not to give the devil an opportunity, in 2 Cor. 2 he again tells us to forgive, that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.

When we choose not to forgive, it gives the devil an opportunity to be lord in your life. You can rebuke, and plead the blood and whatever else you want to do, but until you forgive, the devil has the right. That is why Paul said, he is not ignorant of the his schemes.

John 20:23 tells us that if you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retain. ? where have they been retained. In you heart. That is why we must forgive from our hearts, where we won't reap in our lives the sins rewards.

Mark 11: 25 tells us when you stand praying forgive if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive neither will your Father forgive your transgression.

Matt. 6:14
If you forgive others for their transgressions your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you don't forgive your Father won't forgive you.

1 Peter 3:8-12
not to return evil for evil or insult for insult, but give a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing.

Rom. 12:14-21
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

God has called us to rule, and not to react.

When people hurt and offend you, forgive and speak blessings, that way when you see them, you will remember the blessing you gave, not the offence that they did.

Don't take into account when suffered wrong. Then the devil won't have an opportunity to be lord in your life.

Blessings
